Early 1930s style bow dress

Here’s a great example of the fondness of statement bows in dresses in the 1930s. The large bow in this early 1930s style dress in raised textured viscose tencel is part of the attached bias cut yoke which is folded to create a bow down the front of the bodice. The back also has a yoke cut on the bias. The puffed long bishop style sleeves have widish cuffs adorned with decorative fabric covered buttons. The dress fastens with snap fasteners at the side. The belt features a lovely square black bakelite buckle.

Early 1930s style polka dot darling

This beautiful summer dress in large polka dot viscose rayon with a statement white rayon crepe bow screams 1930s all over! It features butterfly sleeves and the very art deco style square panelling at the front and back of the skirt which also has kick pleats on both sides. Double darts at the front and back give a bit more shape to the dress. The bow fastens with a snap at the collar. Snap fastening at the side. The belt features a cream vintage bakelite buckle.

An early 1940s darling

Here I present a lovely early 1940s inspired dress in original vintage floral rayon gathered bodice, front and back, collar and the skirt. The light brick coloured yokes and belt in viscose rayon add a great contrast. It features an original vintage bakelite buckle.

It also features fabric covered buttons down the front, padded shoulders and elbow length sleeves.

With zipper fastening.

Early 1930s style “Hester” revamped

Here is a newly revised version of “Hester”, the lovely beach pyjamas from my 1930s beachwear collection from couple of years ago, this time in sweet dotted red printed reproduction cotton and ash duck canvas cotton trousers. It also features original vintage wooden buttons at the front and a bakelite buckle on the belt.
