Here’s one of the mid-1930s blouses from my recent vintage blouse collection in a lovely vintage floral silk. It has a gathered gabot down the front and tucks in sleeves. The back closes with eye and hook. The belt features a vintage buckle.

Here I present my early to mid-1930s style capsule blouse collection. All made in original 1930s vintage fabrics. “Ruby” is early 1930s style, while “Agnes”, “Loretta” and “Hazel” are mid-1930s style.

This delightful mid- 1930s style jumper had already seen the light of day earlier with butterscotch coloured bakelite buttons, and here revived with rusty red coloured ones and a matching early 1930s style panelled skirt with buttons on the kick pleats down the front and the back, which makes this set perfect for one of those early autumnal strolls. The skirt fastens with snap fasteners at the side.
I rarely work with knit fabrics but just wanted to give it a try and this sweet mid- 1930s style cinnamon coloured cotton crochet knit fabric blouse was the result.
With its unusual eye catching large geometric collar embellished by contrasting 1930s bakelite buttons, puff sleeves and waist band sitting just on the upper hips, also with vintage buttons is the ultimate and perfect separate to complete your 1930s look. It has hook and eye closure at the back of neck.
Stripes, stripes, stripes. The contrasting geometric Art Deco style yokes and pocket in this lovely mid-1930s style blouse in sheer navy and cream striped rayon, lowered bell sleeves and the front row of original black vintage glass buttons create the perfect match to wear with your 1930s half calf length skirt.
Sometimes it’s time to treat oneself and here’s something I made for myself over the weekend. This lovely early 1930s inspired blouse in sky blue and dark purple check cotton with yokes forming butterfly sleeves and fastened with original bakelite buttons both front and back has also a great little fan effect down the front by the yoke corners. The belt also features an original bakelite buckle. Perfect for a summer day out!
